The King’s College
Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Science
The King’s College invites applicants for the position of assistant professor of mathematics and science in the College’s interdisciplinary undergraduate Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) core curriculum. The position is available August 1, 2008. A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related field is required.
This is a teaching-intensive position. All students at the College are required to take Calculus or Precalculus and Statistics. In fall 2009, all students will be required to take Scientific Reasoning. Science, Technology, and Culture, an elective course, will also be offered in the 2009/2010 academic year. The College is seeking to expand its elective courses and may consider offering additional courses within the applicant’s specialty.
The King’s College is a very small, highly selective, Christian college in the Empire State Building. The College is non-denominational but requires faculty members to sign a statement of faith. The College prepares students for careers in which they will help to shape strategic public and private institutions.
