Francis Su Elected MAA President - The Mathematical Association of America elected Fracis Su, Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College, long-standing ACMS member and past officer, as its 55th president. MORE

19th ACMS Conference - Registration is now open for the 19th ACMS biennial conference, held from May 29th to June 1st, 2013, at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota! Please use the Online Registration Form to register for the conference.

Undergraduate and graduate students receive a 50% discount. Furthermore, the ACMS will offer five $200 travel grants to graduate students on a first-come-first-served basis.

Call for papers: proposals for talks should be sent to Eric Gossett by March 15, 2013. The typical presentation will be for 15 minutes.

Joint Mathematics Meeting in San Diego - At the JMM in San Diego (January 9-12, 2013) the ACMS hosted a reception on Thursday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Marina Ballroom D of the Marriot. Mike Orrison from Harvey Mudd College spoke on Change of Perspective.

Mathematics Through the Eyes of Faith - The book Mathematics Through the Eyes of Faith, editted by James Bradley and Russell Howell, co-authored by members of the ACMS, is now available for purchase. Proceedings of the 2011 ACMS Conference - The proceedings for the Westmont conference are now available: Proceedings. This includes the schedule, list of abstracts, and summaries for all the talks.

Computer Science Subgroup

The computer science subgroup of the ACMS consists of computer scientists and mathematicians who teach computer science. Computer science will be represented in the program at the biennial convention by a contributed paper session and a panel discussion.
