Statement of Belief

Because we are an association of Christians, ACMS membership is open to all interested persons who are in agreement that:

  1. God is the creator and faithful sustainer of His creation.
  2. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, and through His atonement is the mediator between God and man.
  3. The Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, the Christian's authoritative guide for faith and conduct.

Those who wish to join our organization may read more at Join the ACMS.

Purposes of the ACMS:  In addition to our statement of belief, you may be interested in knowing the purposes of the ACMS.  Those purposes are as follows:

  1. To encourage Christians in the mathematical sciences to explore the relationship of their faith to their discipline.
  2. To promote interaction among Christians in the mathematical sciences.
  3. To encourage research and writing by Christians, especially on topics interrelating their faith and their discipline.
  4. To promote innovative and effective teaching.
