Pepperdine University's Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and
Sciences, located in Malibu, California, invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor of
mathematics for the 2008-2009 academic year. Applicants must have a
Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, or other related mathematical
discipline by July 2008.

Teaching is our foremost emphasis in Seaver College, and candidates
should demonstrate exceptional interest, effectiveness and ingenuity
in developing students mathematically. Candidates should have the
interest and ability to teach a broad range of math classes as
teaching duties may include calculus for math and science majors,
calculus and finite mathematics for business majors, and upper
division courses for math majors. Candidates also should have a
promising scholarly agenda and preference will be given to
individuals that can involve undergraduates in their research.
Located in the diverse metropolitan areas of Los Angeles and Southern
California, the Natural Science Division of Pepperdine University is
especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute
through their research, teaching and/or service, to the diversity and
excellence of the University and our surrounding community.
