Why Natural Selection Can’t Design Anything This paper argues that known scientific laws cannot account for the key feature of life that needs to be explained — specified complexity. It carefully defines specified complexity and argues that the Darwinian mechanism operating via evolutionary algorithms is unable to explain it.
